The Guardians' Honor Remains Unwavering - Rebuttal of Baseless Accusations

 ZERO GRAU, The Leaders' Cabinet

Salute, soldiers.

Today, various allegations were brought to the leadership and High Summit of our army, which were directed at our recent activities on the CPPS Club Penguin Avalanche.

Unfortunately, many of these allegations brought against us were extremely lacked a solid base and contained inadequate evidence to properly back up their premise. With that being said, we will be addressing these allegations in this post. Read on for more.

=====================================================================

Before we actually debunk the allegations that were put forth against us, we must provide the overall context of the situation. For the past few weeks, our army has begun to extensively use Club Penguin Avalanche as a co-main CPPS for our events alongside Club Penguin Armies Battleground, which is because Avalanche is a Portuguese-speaking Brazilian CPPS, which we have a long track record of partaking in similar CPPSes (for example, CP Brasil and the CP Online Portuguese servers).

We have held nearly every single EU event on the CPPS and about half of our US-timezone events on the CPPS, which is a clear sign that the bulk of our army base is based on this CPPS. We have been involved very extensively in their community, and we even organized a Card-Jitsu Tournament for their community, allowing all people (yes, even non-EGCP) to join the tournament, more on that later.

With that out of the way, we can address the actual allegations at hand. In the screenshot below, you can see the notice that was given to us, which details (most of) the allegations and punishment towards our army.

To sum up the punishment, all our CP Avalanche events from the 8th of October to the 14th of October were completely nullified, and we will be facing a 40% reduction in our size calculations in the Top Ten for the next three weeks, for every CP Avalanche event held. This is all on the basis that we were receiving unfair advantages from our usage of Club Penguin Avalanche. With the context out of the way, we will be addressing the allegations one by one in the rest of this post.

''Club Penguin Avalanche has tweeted in support of your events.''

One of the first allegations brought to us was that Club Penguin Avalanche tweeted in support of our events. However, the Tweet, which was deleted not too long after the partnership broke up, was posted on May 9th of this year, which was four days after our revival. We did have a brief, but hardly acted upon partnership with Avalanche, but that soon died out due to our extensive usage of CPA Battleground instead of Avalanche. Our partnership faced a formal conclusion in September, and by the time we began to actively host events in Avalanche, the partnership was entirely gone. If the issue is directed towards recent events, why a single tweet advertising an event held on May 09th was considered relevant to the case? It is possible for everyone to check CP Avalanche's Twitter account and look for any alleged advertisements.

''[...] nós da administração percebemos que tomamos uma decisão precipitada em oficializar uma parceria com a EGCP''

''[...] us, from the administration, realized we made a rushed decision in officializing a partnership with EGCP''

Logan, Club Penguin Avalanche Admin, and Community Manager, cancelling the partnership. Thus, no direct mention of the army or any form of promotion would be made.

''Avalanche team hosted a mascot meet-up to coincide with your events.''

This allegation is referring to when we hosted the previously mentioned Card-Jitsu competition in Avalanche. It is important to note that this tournament was opened to the ENTIRE community of Avalanche, not just EGCP troops (although, EGCP troops were offered Totinhos if they did attend), which can be read here. So, while yes, EGCP did actually organize this tournament, the event was seen as a community event by Avalanche, rather than EGCP (however, we did count this as an EGCP event for EGCP troops that took part in the tournament). The winner and runner-ups of the tournament were actually not even troops in EGCP, they were all just community members, with the winner joining EGCP at a later date. It is also important to mention that the Club Penguin Avalanche staff did NOT advertise the tournament whatsoever.

With that out of the way, there was indeed a Sensei meetup at the tournament. However, this was not done with any prior mention to us, this was done spontaneously by Avalanche. This unscheduled mascot meetup with Sensei was a shock to everyone, including us. This happened minutes before the tournament's final round, which was delayed a bit, as it filled the room, so you can't say it really benefitted us that much. Furthermore, we could not (and did not) submit the entire event to the Top Ten Committee, only the pre-Sensei portions.

Lass and Edu were in shock when they realized Sensei was there

''I inform here that Club Penguin Avalanche does not possess any form of partnership with EGCP, it doesn't benefit EGCP with any kinds of coins or game items. We concede awards for any community that makes a wide player base complexity event, and that is pretty rare and not EGCP exclusive.

Sensei's apparition at the end of the Event has nothing to do with EGCP, instead, it was used to announce a new game project, and not as a reward for attending an EGCP event. Also, we haven't made a single mention of them (EGCP) during the mascot appearance.

We have not promoted EGCP or any other group in our community ever since May, pretty close to the game's early stage. As we grew, we decided to drop the partnership to not cause any form of benefit to any community. Although, we let every event community promote their events inside our discord server.''

AkaRi/Renanrcp, Avalanches Administrator and Head Developer rebutting the idea of biased help and that Sensei purposely ''coincided with our event''.

AkaRi's last statement is proven to be really useful when we take into consideration the screenshots of Fitsuki promoting EGCP's events on CP Avalanche's Discord Server. The CPPS staff allows EVERY community to promote their events. Moreover, considering our partnership with them was already over by that time, it is indeed inaccurate to affirm it is an unfair benefit. Later on, we will elaborate on that

''It is rumored that you would be getting exclusive items for your events.''

The only time an item was given out at our events was during the Card-Jitsu competition, which only the winner could achieve (and as stated, the tournament was open to everyone who signed up, and the winner & runner-ups were not even from EGCP).
The only prizes given out were financed by us, such as Totinhos (EGCP's bot currency), a gift card, and a custom penguin drawing. Apart from that event, there has not been a singular currency or item handed out by Avalanche to people who attended our events.

For these reasons, we did concede that the Card-Jitsu tournament could be ignored by the Top Ten calculations, but it is clearly implied by the allegations given to us that this occurred multiple times. With that said, we do believe there is no solid basis to discard every other CP Avalanche event we held throughout the past week.

''Nós da administração ficamos muito felizes com a iniciativa e gostamos bastante da ideia, então gostaríamos de contribuir com um token de gratidão por tudo que vocês fizeram pelo CPA. Assim sendo, vocês podem anunciar formalmente que o vencedor do torneio ganhará um item exclusivo.''

''We, from the administration team, are very happy with the initiative and liked the idea a lot, so we would like to contribute as a token of our gratitude for everything you have done for CPA (Club Penguin Avalanche). Thus, you can formally announce that the tournament winner will win an exclusive item''

Logan deciding to give a kimono item to the winner out of his own accord. As said earlier in this post, they commend any kind of community that goes around hosting events, regardless of being EGCP or not.

''Avalanche is not providing awards equally for other armies''

This is definitely one of the most baseless allegations given to us. It is impossible to make this judgment due to the fact that there is no other army active on the CPPS, so there is no advantage or disadvantage present for anyone at all. Furthermore, the only other active "group" (that is not an army) has received appraisal from Avalanche themselves, for helping to make the community active as well. To top it all off, Avalanche has stated that they are open to giving a degree of appraisal to any group that joins Avalanche and hosts events in Portuguese, as evident by the screenshot below.

"If other armies like EGCP migrated to Club Penguin Avalanche, following our rules, speaking exclusively Portuguese (it's inside our rules), and made a tournament of that extension, we would give away an item for the winner, the same item that was already offered to different events of other communities in Club Penguin Avalanche"

As you can see, the mere fact that we were able to debunk these allegations so quickly proves that there was a lack of a solid premise in this entire ordeal. It is extremely annoying to have every single Avalanche event of ours affected by one community-based event we organized because of a reward given to the winner of the tournament, which just so happened to not be an EGCP troop in the first place.

Furthermore, this is insulting to the very history of our army, which broke away from the CP Online community in January 2019, after the Pirates of Club Penguin, led by a CPO moderator, received actual benefits from the administration of CP Online, and we all received nothing. After our exit from the league, the rest of the events held in CP Online were plagued with events where coins were given to the attendees of specific armies, often the armies who kissed the most ass. We have been fighting against corruption for many years, and we do not like the fact we were accused of trying to gain an upper hand over other armies through the usage of rewards.

While the punishment received by the Top Ten Committee still resulted in us placing #1 on the Top Ten, and will likely not affect our placement drastically, we are merely defending ourselves for the principle of it all. We are not going to let our army be devalued and defamed by baseless accusations that result in unfair punishment, whether the punishment is big or small.

In the future, we will be very careful with events that we publish and will make it clear when there is a reward given. As part of a compromise, we will be willing to completely overlook the tournament event. However, we demand that this punishment be overturned, and we hope to see the CP Armies administration and Top Ten Committee actually take the time to think and collect real evidence on what they claim like real professionals would.

Well, no more Nitros for Tournaments, I suppose.

"The CPPS offers the reward without equal treatment" -> wrong, addressed above
"The army is the one to request the CPPS reward them for their event" -> wrong, disproved

Therefore, the event has no visible issues, and, consequently, the army has not unfairly benefited from the CPPS whatsoever.
